THE FEDERATION
Now based out of Grandmaster Chaanine's International Black Belt & Healing Arts Center in San Diego, California, the Lebanese-American Taekwondo Federation (LATF) was founded by Grandmaster
David Chaanine in 1983 to serve as a unifying body for all of the Grandmaster's students in Lebanon, the United States, and elsewhere abroad. LATF unites Grandmaster Chaanine's students regardless of whether they have changed their martial arts style or remain Taekwondo practitioners. For more information about lifetime membership, please contact us here. The Lebanese-American Taekwondo Federation seeks to:
1. Unify Grandmaster David Chaanine's students in Lebanon, the United States, and abroad.
2. Promote team and individual cultural exchanges through organized visits to the United States and Lebanon in order to learn about each other's cultural traditions and ways of life.
3. Enhance, promote, and teach traditional Taekwondo and its values exactly as they were taught to the Grandmaster while taking into consideration the environmental, social, and survival needs that confront 21st Century martial artists.
4. Give an opportunity to instructors to enhance their knowledge, prepare for ranking promotions, and benefit from materials and curricula designed and written by Grandmaster Chaanine.
